| I Just thought I'd give a bit of an update to "Possums". I thought for a while that my Possum tenants had left for pastures new, as I had not seen any occupancy for a couple of days. However, they had gone walkabout , Sabco may have been introducing Willow to different tucker. However, I guess those Arrowroot biscuits spread with peanut paste were just to good to pass up and they are both back to regular meals. My wife was speaking to a couple who live down the road. The lady informed us that her husband had noticed my ' Possum Hilton' and had built his own. I should mention at this point of time that someone from the Council phoned me yesterday and had informed me that plans were afoot to prioritize boxes for our park. You can imagine how pleased I was to hear that.A couple of nights ago we found a Ringtail possum sitting in the centre of our clothes hoist. I have no idea why, as our Staffie, ever vigilant was asleep on his bed. About a week ago , a program on T.V. showed a high school making possum and bird boxes for the local population. What was different was that although their boxes were made of waterproof ply or pine, the entrance hole was a piece of hollow log giving the whole thing a more natural look. I should also tell you that the class was made up of Senior Girls. In my day such a thing was unheard of and Domestic Science was the order of the day. What a great idea that is, I know plenty of blokes who haven't the ability to nail two pieces of wood together, and don't own any sort of carpentry tool. Still maybe they are good at Domestic Science
